The collection consists of important classical Greek and Roman sculptures from the
Farnese FAMILY, next to artifacts found in the excavations of Pompeii and Herculaneum. Among them are mosaics along with extraordinary and wonderful frescoes.
- Capodimonte Museum

The Reggia di Capodimonte, a magnificent eighteenth-century villa in the center of a large park, was entirely restored and used as a museum. It contains one of the most important art galleries of ancient paintings in the world. Inside, the Farnese collection numbered over 1700 paintings at the end of the eighteenth century, together with an equally impressive and priceless collection of decorative arts. During the nineteenth century the Museum still enriches: with its collection of Italian and foreign masterpieces, it is among the most important art galleries in Italy if not all of Europe . - Duke of Martina Museum at Villa Floridiana

The refined neoclassical residence of the second wife of Ferdinand IV of Bourbon, Lucia Migliaccio duchess
of Floridia, is now home to one of the most prestigious collections of European and Eastern decorative art. Belonging to Placido di Sangro, Duke of Martina, the collection includes about six thousand furnishing objects, “gallantries”, documents of daily life: glass, ivory, amber, lacquer, coral, turtles, enamels but especially porcelain and majolica.
SPACCA NAPOLI

Naples is a very ancient city, capital of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies and of the Kingdom of Naples for many centuries.
The historic center is full of beautiful monuments and churches. We mention here only what is absolutely most important, but there is much more to see and we advise those interested to contact the concierge to reserve a knowledgeable guide to completely explore Naples.
- The Cloister of the Church of Santa Chiara has Capodimonte majolica which completely covers the benches and columns of the cloister.
- San Domenico Maggiore, important for examples of both the Baroque and Gothic periods.
- The Chapel of San Severo with the famous Veiled Christ (closed on Tuesdays).
- San Lorenzo Maggiore, of which we mention only the Gothic nave onto which numerous chapels open containing paintings and works of art of great importance .
- The Certosa di San Martino, a Baroque church with an annexed cloister, which IS an important seat of the Museum of San Martino (open from 8.30 to 19.30 – Closed on Mondays) which contains a famous collection of napolitana nativity scenes with 15th and 16th century sculptures and decorative art.
