- The Royal Palace of Caserta (La Reggia Di Caserta) was built from a design by Vanvitelli in 1752 by Charles III of Bourbon.
It develops around four internal courtyards, and is one of the most beautiful in Italy. Inside, frescoes and period furniture testify to the ancient glories. But even more important are the gardens of the Reggia, also designed by Vanvitelli in the style of those of Versailles or the Tuilleries. They extend along an avenue perpendicular to the entrance to the palace.In the center flows a waterfall that forms large pools and other waterfalls decorated with monumental Baroque statues, for a total length of three kilometres.
